I am an Experimental Psychologist specialising in Psychophysics and Visual Perception. My primary research interests lie in motion perception and the study of internal models of gravity. My work is primarily based on laboratory experimentation, combined with the quantitative and computational modelling of perceptual mechanisms. I currently serve as an Invited Assistant Professor in the Department of Education and Psychology at the University of Aveiro and as a Research Fellow at the William James Center for Research (University of Aveiro Branch).
